Gain specialized knowledge in anesthesia care as you work toward becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through National University's Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program – the first globally recognized institution by Planetree. This 36-month hybrid program combines 15 months of on-site coursework in Fresno, California (Phase 1) with 21 months of clinical residency (Phase 2).
This clinical doctoral program for entry into practice will help you perfect both the technical and theoretical aspects of anesthesia care. The curriculum blends online and campus-based learning, covering healthcare systems analysis, quality improvement, leadership development, policy evaluation, and evidence-based practice implementation.
The DNAP features an intensive initial didactic phase with on-site classes and advanced simulation training. During the subsequent clinical phase, you'll work at partner hospitals, administering anesthesia to diverse patient populations across all surgical specialties under the guidance of experienced CRNAs or anesthesiologists.
Graduates will be qualified to take the National Certification Exam (NCE) for CRNA licensure.
