The Radiologic Technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), equips students to become certified radiologic technologists. Participants will acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for operating x-ray equipment in diagnostic settings, including labs and clinical environments. The curriculum prepares students to handle x-ray machinery, support disease diagnosis, and adhere to medical ethics. Coursework covers radiation fundamentals, electrical principles, x-ray equipment components, and clinical department operations.
After earning an Associate in Sciences degree in Radiologic Technology, graduates qualify to take certification exams administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the California Certification of Radiologic Technology. This regulated profession requires a valid Social Security number for obtaining both state certification and national licensure.
