The Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer prepares students to seamlessly transition into a bachelor's degree program in mathematics. This curriculum covers foundational calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra, offering comprehensive lower-division coursework. Graduates will be equipped to pursue advanced mathematics studies. STEM students can fulfill most, if not all, of their introductory math prerequisites through this transfer degree program.
To obtain an Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer, students must complete 60 transferable semester units to the CSU system, including either IGETC or CSU GE breadth requirements plus an 18-unit major. A minimum 2.0 GPA in all transferable courses is required, with all major courses completed at a C grade or higher. Those earning this transfer degree are exempt from additional local graduation mandates.
