The Associate in Arts in Kinesiology for Transfer program equips students to transition into the CSU system to pursue bachelor's degrees in kinesiology, exercise science, pre-physical therapy, athletic training, and similar health-related fields. This pathway ensures guaranteed junior-level admission to CSU institutions. Graduates of this program will gain both a scientific understanding of kinesiology and practical movement skills, preparing them for advanced degrees or professional certifications in areas like sports medicine, exercise physiology, sports administration, athletic therapy, physical rehabilitation, nutrition science, wellness promotion, coaching, and related disciplines.
To obtain the Associate in Arts in Kinesiology for Transfer, students must fulfill 60 transferable semester units following either the IGETC or CSU GE breadth requirements, including an 18-unit major concentration. A minimum 2.0 GPA in all transferable coursework and a grade of C or higher in major courses are required. Those completing this transfer degree are exempt from additional local graduation mandates.
