Exercise physiology is a specialized science that examines how the body's metabolic systems adapt to both short-term and long-term physical exertion. The curriculum provides hands-on professional training along with elective courses in disciplines like strength training, nutrition, pre-physical therapy, pre-medicine, business, and clinical practice. This program equips graduates for diverse career paths in health and wellness services for both mainstream and specialized groups.
Participants will develop skills to perform health evaluations and fitness assessments for various populations, while learning to design customized workout plans for different performance objectives. The program also offers pathways into cardiac rehabilitation, workplace/community health initiatives, advanced academic studies, and sports nutrition. A mandatory internship component exposes students to practical settings such as general healthcare, dental practices, sports medicine clinics, physical therapy centers, cardiac rehabilitation facilities, and wellness institutions.
