The graduate program in Exercise Science and Sport Studies enables students to engage in higher-level studies within the broad discipline of exercise science and physical education while developing specialized expertise in a chosen focus area. The Exercise Science concentration aims to build the competencies required for designing personalized fitness regimens and overseeing wellness centers in sports, business, corporate, or healthcare environments. Qualification Requirements

All applicants must meet the basic admission requirements for graduate study at Montclair State University. There are no prerequisites for the Sports Administration and Coaching concentration, however applicants who have not taken undergraduate coursework in kinesiology or motor learning will be asked to complete some readings in those areas. Completion of the GRE is not required for this program.

A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
