The Biology Department aims to cultivate critical thinking skills and the capacity to uncover new insights through methodical scientific inquiry among emerging life science researchers. Our graduate programs cater to students pursuing careers in biology that demand specialized expertise or those entering the teaching profession. Practical research experience forms the foundation of our curriculum. The coursework and research opportunities highlight biology's interdisciplinary approach. In addition to the Biology (MS) program, we provide these graduate study pathways: Biology (Combined BS/MAT), Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution specialization, Physiology specialization, Pedagogy specialization, and a Molecular Biology certificate program.
