The Master of Arts (MA) in Music with a focus on Music Therapy blends psychological support and research coursework, covering areas like evaluation methods, clinical improvisation, group therapy (both experiential and client-focused), along with instruction and supervision training. These classes incorporate hands-on practice, allowing students to develop professional writing skills through thesis seminars, two specialized electives, and a culminating thesis project. Established in 1969, our program has built a reputation as a diverse, well-rounded music therapy curriculum. Qualification Requirements

The Graduate School requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program. Applicants with non-U.S. degrees need not submit transcripts.
Transcript: One from each college attended.
Letters of Recommendation: Two.
A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
