The HIED program sets itself apart from conventional Student Affairs/Counseling in Higher Education programs by concentrating on broader administrative and leadership aspects rather than just student services. Our curriculum adopts an organizational and social science perspective, structured around key administrative challenges and strategic interventions.

Faculty members in this program are dedicated to enhancing students' existing higher education knowledge while delivering a comprehensive foundation of theories and practical applications. This equips graduates to implement their learning in professional settings, enabling them to address institutional needs and drive progress in postsecondary education and society at large. Designed for aspiring leaders, this master's program develops the essential expertise, competencies, and mindset required for administrative roles across diverse higher education settings, from universities and four-year colleges to community colleges and technical institutions.
