Individuals holding a bachelor's degree who wish to become educators can enroll in the Post-baccalaureate program to obtain their initial teaching credentials.
Some candidates might need to complete extra undergraduate classes in their chosen subject area to satisfy both state and university certification requirements.
After finishing the program successfully, graduates will be eligible for New Jersey's initial teaching certification (Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing, or CEAS). This certification allows recipients to teach in New Jersey public schools and facilitates certification in most other states. The CEAS remains valid indefinitely.

The Graduate School requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program.
