The Director of School Counseling Services Certification permits individuals to work as directors, administrators, or supervisors of school counseling programs. This includes overseeing educational activities connected to counseling services from preschool through 12th grade.
To obtain this certification in New Jersey, candidates need three years of relevant experience. However, applicants with less experience or a provisional certificate may still enroll in the program while working toward meeting NJ's certification standards. Private school employees can participate in this program without requiring state certification.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate School requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program.
Transcript: One from each college attended.
Letters of Recommendation: Two.
A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
