This specialized program combines theoretical knowledge with practical application across various legal fields including civil litigation, real estate, criminal law, family law, corporate law, and probate. It equips students for paralegal careers in law firms, corporate settings, and government organizations. As New Jersey's sole ABA-approved four-year undergraduate Paralegal Studies program, Montclair State provides one of the state's limited bachelor's degree options in Justice Studies. The program distinguishes itself through a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach that explores the connections between justice, legal systems, policy, and societal transformation. Students can specialize in one or more of three concentrations: Justice Systems, International Justice, or Paralegal Studies. A mandatory internship in their chosen field allows students to gain hands-on justice system experience. Review our Mission Statement.
