The Master of Science in statistics program at Montana State University provides students with a strong foundation in statistical theory and practical experience applying statistical methods to real-world challenges. This program equips participants for either advanced graduate studies or careers in academia, industry, business, or government sectors. Upon admission, every student consults with the department's Graduate Program Committee to align their academic path with professional goals and initial course selection. By the second semester, students establish a Graduate Committee to collaboratively design their customized curriculum plan.
A bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited, government-recognized university. These degrees are generally four-year-long programs.
B average or higher from your undergraduate study (3.0/4.0 GPA, or equivalent).
