Montana State's Geography program immerses students in foundational courses covering world regions, physical geography, and human geography principles. Upon developing a solid grasp of spatial connections, global patterns of natural and cultural features, and the forces shaping Earth's diverse environments, learners can specialize in either physical or human geography to pursue careers in fields like environmental conservation or urban development. The Earth Science program provides four specialized tracks: Geology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/Planning, Paleontology, and Snow Science.
