Montana State's Computer Engineering program blends Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science disciplines into one comprehensive major. The curriculum covers fundamental science, math, electronics, and circuit theory while incorporating specialized courses in computer architecture and programming. Through practical lab work and a required senior capstone project demonstrating their expertise, graduates emerge as skilled professionals known for their engineering design capabilities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving proficiency.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
