Montana State's Music Technology program equips students with expertise in diverse disciplines including musical composition, audio recording, sound synthesis, film scoring, instrumentation, and vocal/instrumental performance. Working closely with professors, participants create original compositions and partner with peers from various departments and the School of Music on creative projects. Alumni enter professions spanning audio production, media composition, music technology sales, sound engineering, private teaching, and advanced academic research in the discipline.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.

Application Deadlines Fall Semester: July 1; Spring Semester: November 15; Summer Session: March 15.
