At Montana State, Environmental Design students master the art of shaping environments where people reside, labor, and recreate. The curriculum emphasizes scientific understanding, technical skills, and advanced architectural conceptualization through both studio work and real-world community engagement. This specialized program equips every graduate with the qualifications needed for admission to a Master of Architecture degree, the essential credential for professional practice in architecture.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
