As a manufacturing engineer, your primary focus will be developing products, processes, and technologies.
You'll enhance manufacturing operations to become more efficient, quicker, and more cost-effective. Professionals in this role continuously evaluate resource distribution, assess production efficiency, and explore ways to optimize output while minimizing expenses. Missouri S&T has designated Advanced Manufacturing as one of its four key research priorities. You'll collaborate with faculty members who have gained national and global recognition for their contributions to Additive Manufacturing, 3D printing, CAD/CAM, and automated production systems. The manufacturing program offers a multidisciplinary approach with cutting-edge facilities focused on production techniques, product development, materials science, and operations management.
Manufacturing engineers serve a crucial function in both commercial markets and everyday consumer products.

Your responsibilities will include creating, implementing, and enhancing production systems while collaborating with design teams to improve product and process designs for greater efficiency and lower operational costs.

If there are any discrepancies between the unofficial documents you submitted, Missouri S&T will withdraw your admission and you will not be allowed to apply to S&T in the future.

Admission as a regular graduate student is normally limited to those who ranked in the upper third of their baccalaureate graduating class or who have done quality work at the graduate level. For this requirement, a cumulative B average (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale), or a B average (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) for the student's last sixty credit hours of undergraduate coursework is considered equivalent to an upper one-third standing.
On the Personal Statement screen, you must submit a statement of 1,000 words or less on why youre interested in the program. This statement may include your educational goals, discussion of personal circumstances, and faculty you wish to work with.
