Earning a graduate degree in civil engineering from Missouri S&T equips you with the expertise to Transform the World. The department provides specialized tracks in architectural, construction management, environmental, geotechnical, materials, structural, and water resources engineering. The doctor of engineering degree, equivalent to a Ph.D., represents engineering's highest academic achievement. Candidates must complete extensive coursework, an engineering internship, examinations, a practice-focused dissertation, and fulfill all graduation requirements. The D.E. requires at least 90 graduate credit hours.
