The Department of Plant and Soil Sciences provides graduate programs leading to a Master of Science in Plant and Soil Sciences with Agronomy specializations, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant and Soil Sciences focusing on Agronomy. Thesis Track - The Master's of Science in Plant and Soil Sciences with an Agronomy specialization is a research-based program. This 30-credit curriculum requires an exit seminar presenting thesis findings, an advanced statistics course, at least 12 credits of 8000-level coursework, and a final thesis defense.
Non-Thesis Track - The Master's of Science in Plant and Soil Sciences with an Agronomy concentration offers a research-focused alternative. This 30-credit program includes an exit seminar, a graduate statistics course, a minimum of 15 credits of 8000-level classes, plus a research paper and comprehensive exam.
