The James Worth Bagley College of Engineering's Dean's Office provides graduate studies culminating in a Master of Engineering (M Eng) degree, offering specializations in General Engineering or Military Engineering. This interdisciplinary M Eng program integrates advanced coursework from various engineering disciplines, creating a focused educational pathway that enables students to develop expertise in fields essential for their professional growth. The program offers both thesis and non-thesis tracks.

Designed as a professional degree, the Master of Engineering (M Eng) serves students pursuing a broad engineering graduate degree who may not have access to conventional discipline-specific programs. The M Eng curriculum doesn't mandate core courses; instead, each study plan is customized based on course availability, student goals, academic history, professional experience, and individual requirements. This web-delivered interdisciplinary program maintains Mississippi State University's high academic standards while offering working engineers adaptable graduate education options.

Mississippi State University's Master of Engineering program stands as the only one of its kind in Mississippi.

Participants in this program can apply coursework toward continuing education credits for the Mississippi Engineering Board of Registration and professional licensure requirements in other states.
