The Materials Certificate acknowledges the successful completion of a structured interdisciplinary program focused on materials science. The curriculum encompasses subjects like advanced composites, biomaterials, materials processing, polymers, and electrical materials. By blending research with engineering principles, students can tailor their certification by selecting two specialization areas from options such as aerospace, biomedical, chemistry, computer science, environmental studies, forest products, mechanical engineering, and physics. The Materials Engineering Working Group (MWG) acts as the governing body to supervise and suggest appropriate courses for the certification program.
