The Materials Science and Engineering graduate program offers an interdisciplinary Master of Science degree (MS&E). Applicants from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome, including various engineering fields (such as biomedical, civil, chemical, environmental, industrial, materials science, and mechanical), as well as applied mathematics, chemistry, geology, and physics. Faculty involved in the program come from multiple departments: Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Scientific Computing.
