The Computational Biology Certificate merges computer science and biology coursework, creating a structured curriculum that explores biological systems through high-throughput data analysis. Participants will develop core computational skills applied to biology—including techniques to study organism structures, functions, processes, and evolutionary changes—preparing them for advanced careers in cutting-edge technical domains. This clearly outlined program gives students official acknowledgment of their specialized training while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Jointly overseen by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Engineering Dean's Office, the certificate is conferred by both the Bagley College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
