The Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering program offers an interdisciplinary concentration in Applied Physics. Students work with their advisors to design a customized curriculum based on their research interests. Key study areas encompass: Computational physics, Optics (both theoretical and experimental), Diagnostic methods employing conventional, imaging, and laser spectroscopy techniques, Nuclear structure physics (experimental and theoretical), as well as Astrophysics and Astrochemistry. Funding opportunities include graduate research and teaching assistantships.
