The IGBB proudly supports Mississippi State University's Computational Biology Certificate Program. This initiative enables both undergraduate and graduate students in computational and life sciences to follow a structured curriculum, acquiring essential computing and biology skills to excel in cutting-edge technical careers. Participants master computational methods for analyzing biological structures, functions, dynamics, and evolutionary processes. The certificate is particularly valuable for students pursuing (or holding) bachelor's or master's degrees in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, biological engineering, or life sciences. Upon fulfilling program requirements, graduates receive a joint certificate from the Bagley College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, with the achievement noted on their academic transcripts. The program mandates completion of five courses endorsed by the Computational Biology Advisory Board.
