Medical Technology is a healthcare field dedicated to providing crucial laboratory data and services needed for diagnosing and treating illnesses. MSU's Medical Technology program is among the 240 such programs available in the United States. Laboratory findings from medical technologists impact about 70% of clinical decisions regarding patient care. In this profession, medical technologists perform various laboratory analyses, ensure their precision, explain test outcomes, develop new techniques, and evaluate the effectiveness of these diagnostic methods.
Students in this major must obtain an internship at one of the partner sites, lasting one year from August to August. Presently, there are four locations: Jackson, MS (Baptist), Tupelo, MS (North Mississippi Medical Center), Nashville, TN (Vanderbilt), and Little Rock, AR (University of Arkansas Medical Sciences).
Applicants must have completion of Diploma from secondary school or secondary leaving examination.
English Language Proficiency
