The forestry program is a science-focused curriculum culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, offering five specialized tracks: Environmental Conservation, Forest Business, Forest Management, Urban Forestry, and Wildlife Management. Each concentration holds accreditation from the Society of American Foresters (SAF).
This program blends broad academic foundations with career-specific training, equipping students with competencies in interpersonal communication, written and verbal expression, and cross-cultural awareness. Upon completion, graduates meet the requirements to register as Mississippi Foresters by passing the Board of Registration for Foresters (BORF) examination. Additionally, they become eligible to earn Certified Forester status from the Society of American Foresters through successful exam completion.
