Licensed Vocational Nurses in California can enroll in a one-year LVN-RN bridge program, commonly referred to as the Registered Nursing (LVN-RN) Step-Up program, to earn their Associate Degree in Nursing. First-year nursing credits are awarded upon presenting a valid California LVN license and proof of graduation from a BVNPT-approved program. Participants must complete a transition course followed by two semesters to qualify for the NCLEX-RN exam. LVNs who obtained their license through NCLEX-PN challenge must have their pediatric and obstetrics training verified by the ADN director. Schedule a meeting with the ADN director to discuss fulfillment options. Admission to the LVN-RN (ADN) (Track II) program requires achieving a minimum 62% composite score on the TEAS exam.
