Earth Science centers on Earth Systems Science—a multidisciplinary domain examining our planet's interconnected natural systems, including the atmosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, pedosphere, and humanity's cosmic context. To investigate the chemical, physical, and biological processes shaping Earth's surface, the curriculum incorporates Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, and Physics. Students gain workforce and graduate school readiness through interdisciplinary coursework, hands-on field, lab, and classroom training, and engagement with pressing environmental and societal challenges. The program offers three specialized certificates: Geomorphology and Earth Surface Processes (Earth Science), Geoarcheology (Anthropology), and Geographic Information Science (Geography). Deeper exploration of Earth's systems is available through related disciplines like Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, and Physics.
