The Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts at Midwestern State University provides diverse studio programs in modern facilities. Every discipline focuses on teaching practical skills, studio methods, and visual principles essential for producing fine artwork. The gallery showcases rotating exhibitions featuring regional and national artists throughout the academic year, including the spring/summer Annual Student Exhibition. Each semester, the Harvey School organizes workshops and lectures via its Visiting Artist Program, complemented by educational trips to Dallas/Fort Worth cultural venues. The B.A. degree emphasizes broad artistic exploration rather than narrow specialization.

The expansive ceramics studio features state-of-the-art equipment, including kilns and a patio workspace. Ceramics students get personalized guidance in wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, plus comprehensive training in glazing and firing processes. The program operates in a fully equipped 4,000 square foot studio space designed for ceramic arts education.
