The Graduate Specialization in Environmental Toxicology is jointly managed by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Natural Science, and College of Veterinary Medicine, with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources serving as the lead administrative body. This optional specialization is open to master's degree candidates in various departments including Animal Science, Community Sustainability, Crop and Soil Sciences, Entomology, Fisheries and Wildlife, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Geological Sciences, Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation, Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences, and Zoology. It caters to students seeking to integrate their primary field of study with environmental toxicology to address ecological challenges.
Students pursuing this specialization will be advised by a faculty member from their home department who is also affiliated with the Environmental Toxicology program. This advisor will help design a customized study plan aligned with the student's academic interests, skills, and career aspirations. Courses fulfilling the specialization requirements may count toward the master's degree, subject to approval from the student's home department and college.
