A wildlife and fisheries biology graduate degree equips students with specialized scientific training for managing wildlife populations, fisheries, their habitats, and surrounding ecosystems. This program develops both conceptual knowledge and practical expertise to support conservation and resource management. Alumni pursue careers in environmental consulting, global conservation initiatives, government natural resource departments, and ecological education. Starting Fall 2023, the MWFR program will include a specialized track focusing on GIS applications for natural resource management.
The Master of Wildlife and Fisheries Resources program is available in both online and in-person formats. All other departmental degrees are exclusively offered through traditional on-campus instruction.
