The Nutrition program culminates in a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health. Professionals in this field apply health science principles to examine human metabolic processes. Offering specializations in either dietetics or community nutrition, this program prepares graduates for diverse career opportunities in sectors such as healthcare administration, public policy, corporate wellness, and allied health professions. Investigate current nutritional developments and acquire skills to translate research into community health initiatives. Participants select between two focus areas: Community Nutrition or Dietetics, with the latter meeting the rigorous standards set by ACEND, the accrediting organization for our Didactic Dietetics Program.
The Community Nutrition concentration enables students to build upon core studies in nutrition science, chemistry, physiology, and statistics while tailoring coursework to align with professional aspirations. Graduates may pursue roles in various sectors including education, research, product innovation, and food service management, along with opportunities in healthcare sales, government nutrition programs, and public health policy development. This concentration also serves as excellent preparation for those aiming for careers in healthcare services, wellness programming, food systems administration, or related health professions.
