The history major offers a focused undergraduate curriculum that enhances students' critical reading skills, ability to assess both physical and written sources, and capacity to formulate well-structured arguments. These competencies empower students to approach historical study with thoughtful and creative inquiry. Through historical research, learners will master crafting written findings and delivering oral presentations grounded in thorough analysis of historical data. Students will regularly examine various cultures, both familiar and foreign, across different historical settings. Historians piece together, examine, and make sense of humanity's diverse and intricate past. Our program covers all historical eras globally while enabling investigation into different aspects of human civilization. It cultivates analytical abilities, understanding, and viewpoints that aid in comprehending contemporary issues and planning for what lies ahead.

Their roles include educators, communications specialists, research leads, financial supervisors, information specialists, and legal support staff. While many of these professions demand advanced or specialized education, history graduates benefit from their comprehensive liberal arts background when applying to graduate and professional institutions.
