The History Department enables students to gain deeper insights into human society by methodically examining our collective past. The curriculum covers U.S. history, European studies, Latin American affairs, African heritage, Asian civilizations, and the evolution of science and technology. Pursuing history not only satisfies intellectual curiosity for liberal arts enthusiasts but also prepares students for advanced academic pursuits. History classes excellently uphold the ideals of broad-based education while establishing strong groundwork for careers in law, commerce, environmental studies, heritage conservation, public service, and political science.
Students must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school before you enroll at IUPUI.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS
Students scoring TOEFL 60+ or IELTS 5.5+ are eligible for admission but should anticipate taking additional English for Academic Purposes courses along with their academic program.
