The Economics program focuses on a comprehensive curriculum complemented by liberal arts education. Combining this liberal arts base with economic studies cultivates a worldview perspective rather than merely training for a single career path. This foundation prepares you not only for starting positions but also for higher-level roles. Given their extensive theoretical training, many top executives at major corporations hold economics degrees. The Business Economics track is designed for students interested in analyzing decision-making and problem-solving within business and societal contexts. This program develops comprehension of private enterprise systems and applies these concepts to address business and societal challenges. Alumni have secured positions like research analyst in Ohio's Tax Analysis Division. Some graduates serve as economic analysts in the state's Legislative Budget Office, while others pursue careers as forecast analysts, economic specialists, and investment professionals in private sector firms.
