The Master of Finance (MFin) is an 18-month program offering a 12-month accelerated track, designed to equip students for diverse finance careers demanding analytical precision and innovative problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes core foundational and advanced courses, specialized electives, hands-on learning experiences, ethics training, a programming proficiency assessment, and an optional thesis. Students can specialize in financial engineering, capital markets, or corporate finance. Those enrolled in the 18-month program have the opportunity to pursue an internship during the break between spring and their final fall semester, though it's not mandatory.
Essential summer-term classes establish the groundwork in finance, accounting, and quantitative methods before progressing to higher-level required and elective courses. Specialized electives allow for both focused study and broad exploration based on individual interests. All students must complete an action learning component, choosing between a proseminar or Finance Lab—team-based courses tackling real-world challenges presented by industry experts. A thesis pathway is available for students wanting to delve deeper into a specific research topic.
