MIT's two-year, full-time MBA program combines rigorous academic exploration with adaptable curriculum options. You'll experience the same intellectual rigor and distinguished faculty MIT is known for, while tailoring electives and practical learning experiences to align with your professional aspirations. Following the foundational first-semester core, students gain the freedom to select specialized courses and hands-on learning opportunities that build analytical and decision-making skills. The curriculum emphasizes management science, equipping graduates to assess and address organizational challenges effectively. Additional research and leadership components are integrated through Sloan Intensive Period activities and elective courses. Students must complete four academic terms of residency. With its highly customizable structure, the MBA program enables each participant to design a personalized academic path matching their career objectives. The initial term features a core subject sequence alongside one elective choice from three available options.
We welcome applications from all areas of undergraduate concentration, including the humanities, the social and physical sciences, business and engineering.
Candidates with previous advanced degrees are eligible to apply. Advanced degrees are additional evidence toward academic success, but are not considered instead of undergraduate transcripts.
Work experience is not required for admission, although students have an average of 5 years of work experience and having work experience can help leverage the opportunities at MIT Sloan.
A TOEFL is not required to apply to the MBA program. The minimum IELTS score required is determined by the department.
