Marquette University's Master of Education in STEM Teaching equips graduates to excel as educators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This intensive 14-month M.Ed. program requires applicants to hold a bachelor's degree in a STEM education field. Graduates will receive both a Master's in Education and eligibility for Wisconsin teaching certification in science (grades 4-12) or mathematics (grades 4-12), including foundational computer science knowledge. The computer science specialization enables candidates to pursue additional Wisconsin certification via the Praxis content examination after obtaining initial licensure. Funded by the National Science Foundation's Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship program, this STEM teaching degree offers scholarship and stipend opportunities. Graduates emerge as: Champions of equity, justice, and anti-racism in educational settings; Developers of innovative curriculum and teaching methods grounded in theory, context, and student perspectives; Reflective practitioners who continuously enhance instructional approaches; Caring professionals who foster meaningful learning relationships through mutual respect; Analytical evaluators capable of assessing educational programs and research effectiveness.
