The interdisciplinary PhD (INPR) initiative enables students and faculty to develop innovative, tailored academic programs and research that transcend conventional disciplinary lines. Every participant's curriculum undergoes evaluation by the Graduate School and requires endorsement from the University Board of Graduate Studies, serving as the overseeing authority. An INPR curriculum must integrate coursework and knowledge from multiple Marquette University departments. Faculty members are eligible to participate on INPR committees irrespective of whether their home departments provide doctoral programs.
