Behavior analysis is a psychological discipline examining how environmental factors shape behavior. Marquette's program offers exceptional training in research and clinical application, particularly for those working with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Both MS and PhD candidates will engage in comprehensive coursework, research guidance, specialization development, and hands-on practicum training. The program aims to prepare behavior analysts to: Apply cutting-edge behavioral assessments and interventions, Interpret and implement research findings into practical solutions, Advance the field through academic publications and presentations, Emerge as pioneering leaders, Uphold principles of social justice and equity in professional practice.

At Marquette, students learn from distinguished behavior analysis experts like Drs. Stephanie Hood, Tiffany Kodak, Jeffrey Tiger, and Douglas Woods. Beyond classroom instruction, students gain practical experience and research supervision under these faculty mentors, who also serve as academic advisors. The program follows a junior-colleague approach, maintaining small class sizes for personalized mentorship tailored to career objectives. Alumni have secured roles as university professors, clinical directors, postdoctoral researchers, and practicing behavior analysts.

Minimum 3.00 GPA
Compose a personal statement of 1,000 words or less including explaining your academic and professional experiences and goals. The statement should explain how your experiences and/or interests would contribute to fostering diversity in the behavior analysis program. An individual's ability to enrich diversity to the program, in addition to his/her very presence, can involve, but is not limited to, personal identity (e.g., ethnic identity, religious identity, national origin), intellectual contributions (typically in the form of research interests), and/or personal history or experiences that allow the applicant to bring a unique perspective/worldview (e.g., history of overcoming significant disadvantage, first in family to go to college).
Three letters of reference from individuals familiar with the applicant's academic work and/or research experience.
GRE test scores (general test only, optional).
For international applicants only: a TOEFL score or other acceptable proof of English proficiency.
The highest-ranking applicants will be invited to an interview.

An IELTS total score of 6.5 or higher will be required for admission.
TOEFL score of at least 213 on the computer-based version or 80 on the internet-based version (a minimum of 20 on each section).
