Electrical engineering students create and develop the iPads, Kindles, laptops, and electronic devices that are integral to modern living. They also engineer the infrastructure supporting these products, from internal electrical parts to the power facilities and communication networks that supply them. Engage in advanced research as an undergraduate in our specialized labs: Smart Sensor Technology, Renewable Electric Energy Systems, and Speech and Signal Processing. You can pursue a dual major in electrical and computer engineering while still fitting in a minor in subjects like philosophy, physics, or mathematics—all achievable within five years without needing summer classes. Select from a range of electives to gain specialized knowledge in areas such as systems and control, electromagnetic fields and communication, power and energy, or computer hardware and software. With our co-op program, you'll integrate 12 to 16 months of hands-on engineering experience into your studies.
