Mastering Spanish communication is a crucial ability for professionals joining today's workforce, enabling effective interaction with Spanish speakers both in the U.S. and internationally. The Spanish degree program teaches students key linguistic frameworks while developing cross-cultural understanding. Advanced courses combine cultural exploration, literary analysis, and language studies. Students also engage in hands-on learning experiences to examine Spanish language and Latino traditions through classroom instruction and community involvement across Michigan, the nation, and overseas. This program aims to elevate students' Spanish skills to advanced proficiency levels as measured by the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview.
