Rooted in classical traditions, our communication program explores the influential nature of discourse and its significance in democratic systems. You'll grow into an ethically conscious communicator through coursework that sharpens essential abilities like: delivering speeches, collaborating effectively, crafting compelling messages, building strong arguments, and thinking critically.
The curriculum investigates how individuals employ both spoken and unspoken signals to convey ideas and establish understanding. You'll develop expertise in evaluating interactions across personal, professional, and media environments - whether between individuals, teams, or institutions.
Our Communication Studies BA offers comprehensive training for starting careers in various sectors (including corporate and nonprofit fields) or pursuing advanced studies. Students can specialize in one of three focus areas: public advocacy, public communication, or organizational communication.
