Modern communication channels and information platforms - encompassing both conventional and digital formats - play a vital role in today's political, economic, and cultural landscapes. As a Media Studies BA student, you'll develop the ability to critically analyze media's societal impact and significance. The program provides comprehensive knowledge about media sectors while equipping you with versatile communication abilities valuable across numerous career paths.

You'll collaborate with internationally active faculty members on research and creative projects, while exploring how media portrays and influences perceptions of identity factors like sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, gender, social class, age, and ability - and why these portrayals hold importance.

Qualification Requirements

Contact each of your secondary schools or high schools to have them send your official transcripts to International Student Admission in separate sealed envelopes.
They require you to include certified English translations if your transcript is in a different language.
Your high school counselor can send your transcript electronically through Naviance or the Common Application.
To be competitive for admission students should submit one of the following scores
TOEFL Test of English as a Foreign Language A TOEFL score of 80 or higher with no sub-score below 18 The DU TOEFL code is 4842.
IELTS International English Language Testing System. An IELTS score of 6.5 or higher with no band score below 5.5.
PBT - 550
CAE Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English A grade of C or higher on the CAE.
