Loyola's post-graduate APRN certificate programs are designed for nurses with master's or DNP degrees seeking additional training to qualify for NP or CNS certification exams. Students collaborate with the Program Director to create personalized study plans. Starting after Spring 2022 admissions, applicants must hold a DNP degree to enroll in the post-graduate certificate program.
These programs aim to develop APRNs in specific roles and patient populations, potentially with specialty concentrations, by expanding upon prior graduate-level nursing education.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Graduates of the Post-Graduate Certificate Program will demonstrate the ability to:
Apply research from nursing, healthcare, biopsychosocial sciences, and public health to enhance values-driven advanced nursing practice.
Serve as clinical leaders who make ethical decisions, foster productive relationships, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Implement evidence-based practices through translational science.
Advocate effectively within advanced nursing roles.
Work with diverse patients, families, and communities using culturally appropriate, evidence-informed health promotion and disease prevention approaches.
Partner with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve individual and population health outcomes through communication and collaboration.
