Loyola's master's program in criminal justice and criminology offers flexible full-time or part-time enrollment options. Evening classes take place at the Lake Shore Campus on Chicago's North Side, situated in a vibrant, diverse neighborhood along the shores of Lake Michigan.
This 30-credit-hour MA program consists of five core courses and five electives, allowing students to customize their degree by selecting electives not only from criminal justice but also from disciplines like social work, psychology, women's studies, public policy, and sociology.
To complete the MA requirements, students must either write a thesis or produce a final research project.
Graduates of Loyola University Chicago's Criminal Justice and Criminology program gain qualifications for diverse roles across the justice system, including law enforcement, court services, corrections, probation, victim support, juvenile justice, nonprofit organizations, research, and academic positions.
