A Master of Laws (LLM) in Civil Litigation & Advocacy serves as the perfect pathway for aspiring international trial lawyers. To earn the LLM, students must complete 24 credit units. The Civil Litigation and Advocacy Specialization requires successful completion of 17 specified units, all from mandatory courses. Important: This specialization exclusively admits students beginning their studies in the Fall semester.

The minimum GPA is 3.0
Before the first day of classes in the LLM program, students must have completed a degree in law: either (1) a foreign degree in law, or (2) an American JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Final transcripts confirming conferral of all baccalaureate or a post-baccalaureate degrees must be submitted prior to the beginning of class. The Admissions Committee considers all aspects of an applicant's qualifications. Important factors include the student's English proficiency (if international), and academic performance in the first degree of law (no minimum GPA preferred).
