The EP program enables students to delve into diverse academic and professional fields of interest. The following table outlines five potential focus areas that align particularly well with faculty strengths and available resources. Each concentration consists of 12-15 elective credits, along with a corresponding internship or thesis project. For graduate certification, participants must finish one mandatory policy course plus three approved 400-level electives in their chosen subject. These graduate certificates are open to Environmental Policy students, other Lehigh graduate candidates, eligible Lehigh undergraduates, and non-degree seeking individuals.

Qualification Requirements
Those applying to be non-degree graduate students must have a bachelor's degree from an approved institution with an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 (applicants with undergraduate GPAs below 3.0 may be admitted with the approval of the department in which they wish to take courses). Applicants may be currently enrolled in a graduate program elsewhere or may have already completed a degree at another university.
To be eligible to apply, you must have completed your undergraduate (either BA or BS) degree. No specific major is required or preferred, and our intentionally interdisciplinary program has drawn students with backgrounds in a wide range of disciplines, such as biology, ecology, environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental studies, economics, history, political science, and sociology.
